Based on the number of pieces found in this country by Henry Joseph it is apparent he had a thriving export market to the Colonies and the United States. Joseph worked in London from 1735-1792. Joseph is famous for his cream pots ranging in design from early spouted examples to high style varieties with integral spouts. Teapots are also found in a wide range of designs and styles. There are flagons found on occasion and tankards infrequently. In the scarcity department are his sugar bowls. These are found in two varieties examples like this one with cast in place decorative handles and without handles. I personally know of only two like this one and another example without handles. It is interesting to note there are two examples known marked by William Eddon which appear to have been made from the same set of molds
