A Large Hammered Basin by Hale & Sons - SOLD

Hale and Sons were in business in Bristol, England from circa 1778-1782 the touches used by this firm were apparently used by Richard and Thomas Hale as well from 1783-1815.

Both firms enjoyed a brisk export business to New England.

This basin measures 11 5/8" in diameter. The touchmark is well work due to it's position in center well of the bowl. The hammering is quite clear and well done.
