A Pewter Export Plate by Edgar Curtis & Co. - SOLD

Edgar Curtiss & Co were major exporters to America. The firm produced plates, dishes, basins, teapots, mugs as well as tankards.

The metal used in their flatware is typical of Bristol produced pewter. As is the case with most of the Bristol pewterers, their hollowware is of fine quality metal.

Edgar Curtis and Co. worked from 1793-1801. This plate is 7 15/16" in diameter. It is in very good condition. The main touch was poorly struck. The LONDON touch is very strong.
