A Pint Pewter Export Bud Baluster Measure - SOLD

During the 18th century numerous shipments of pewter from England made their way to America. Baluster lidded measures were one of the many items that were included in these shipments.

This pint bud baluster measure dates from the mid 18th century and is in fine condition. The inspection mark "CM" is struck on the upper lip of the body. This is for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

The measure is 6 7/16" tall to the top of the thumbpiece.
