This Ciborium was made by Homan & Company, Cincinnati, Ohio during the 3rd quarter of the 19th century. It is manufactured from sheet metal and formed via spinning.
The finial is in the form of a cross. In very fine condition measuring 7" tall to the top of the cross and a base diameter of 4 3/8". This exact piece is pictured in the Pewter Collectors' Club Catalog from the 50th anniversary entitled "Pewter in American Life". From the collection of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Hilt.
