A Fine Flower Handle Porringer by Gershom Jones

This flower handle porriger is by Gershom Jones of Providence, Rhode Island. Jones worked circa 1774-1809. This porringer has a 5 1/2" diameter bowl.

The touchmark is one Jones used throughout his carreer. His lion and gateway touchmark was retired in preference for his new eagle mark on flatware. For some unknown reason he retained his rampant lion touch for porringers.

In fine condition with a super touchmark.
