A Scarce Antique American Pewter Beaker by Babbitt Crossman & Co

This 3 3/8" Antique Pewter beaker was pictured in the PCCA's 50th Anniversary Catalog.

It was made in Taunton, MA by the firm of Babbitt Crossman & Co and dates circa 1824-27.

The body is constructed of heavy sheet metal seamed up the side with an applied base. These are quite uncommon.

In near fine condition with some pitting on the outside bottom, ex collection of Wendell Hilt
