A Flat Rim Export Pewter Plate by Stephen Cox - SOLD

This 9 7/16" flat rim export soup plate was made by Stephen Cox of Bristol England. The plate is marked on the back side of the rim. Cox was in business from 1734-1754.

This example has 9 rows of very fine hammering, more typically seen on wavy edge rim plates.

Made of quality metal and in very fine condition.
