A Near Mint David Melville Pewter Plate - SOLD

This 8 3/16" David Melville plate was made in his shop in Newport, Rhode Island between 1755-1793, Melville made plates, basins, tab handle porringers, flower handle porringers, mugs, and platters.

This plate is well made of quality metal and workmanship. Nearly all of the lathe marks still show clearly on the surface and the touches are deeply impressed. A fine example.
