A Samuel Daforth Pewter Plate

Samuel Danforth plied the trade of pewterer in Hartford, CT from 1795-1816. During this period he produced a wide variety of articles made in pewter.

These include plates, dishes, basins, mugs, beakers, porringers, flagons, and baptismal bowls. He produced numbers of these items in different styles and sizes.

This 7 7/8" diameter plate is in very fine condition and retains clear lathe marks on the face surface. The Touches are "as struck" on the back of the plate. A fine example for any collection.

Price: $345
