A Fine Antique American Pewter Inverted Mold Teapot by George Richardson - SOLD

A Fine Antique American Pewter Inverted Mold Teapot by George Richardson

George Richardson worked both in Boston (1818-1828) and Cranston, Rhode Island (1828-1845). He is known for the wide variety of teapots and coffee pots he produced and his sugar bowls were for ever enshrined in the hearts of collectors after J B Kerfoot published his book on pewter with a Richardson Sugar Bowl as the frontispiece of his book.

This teapot is in fine condition with excellent metal and touchmark. The pot measures 7" tall to the top of the finial.

A fine example of Richardson's work.
