A Fine Communion Set by Thomas Carpenter, London

A magnificent export spire flagon and pair of beakers by Thomas Carpenter, London, mid 18th century.

This 14" tall flagon is in very fine condition with excellent hallmarks of Thomas Carpenter of London. The 4 1/8" tall beakers have the hallmarks of Thomas Carpenter on the outside of the body and the mark of Edmund Grove on the inside bottom.

As handsome a spire flagon as found in this period. Spire flagons a most commonly found in America in New England. Most were used in Congregational Churches.
