An Export Pewter Plate by Thomas and Townsend Compton

This 7 11/16" export pewter plate was made by Thomas and Townsend Compton of London 1802-14.

This partnership was between John Townsend's Son-in-Law, Thomas Compton and Compton's son Townsend Compton. They carried on the tradition of quality established by John Townsend.
