A Quart Pewter Export Tankard by William Eddon

This handsome quart Georgian Pewter Tankard by William Eddon first surfaced at a country auction in Maine in the mid 1970's. The tankard was part of a local estate with many family items. I was the under bidder.

An opportunity to purchase this piece happened in the mid 1990's some twenty years later.

This tankard dates circa 1720-35 and is in very fine condition. The touchmark is super. A very handsome export pewter tankard in a condition hard to improve upon. 7 1/8" tall to the top of the thumbpiece.
