An Unmarked Leonard Reed & Barton Flagon - SOLD

This handsome flagon is attributed with confidence to the firm of Leonard Reed and Barton or Reed and Barton, and would date from the 1830's or 1840's.

It employs a double "C" handle similar to those found on flagons by William Calder. This design of handle originated in the 18th century and was used heavily in England and had limited use in America.

This flagon is 10 3/8" tall to the top of the thumbpiece and is in fine condition
