A Very Fine Pair of English Export Pewter Flagons by Robert Bush.

A Near Mint pair of Export Pewter Flagons by Robert Bush, Bristol England 1755-1800. These flagons are marked with a touch that is only BUSH not R BUSH as seen more frequently.

The bodies are fairly narrow and taper quite a bit. The handle is a double “C” form and is very balanced and proportioned with the size of the body. The thumbpiece is an open chair variety. The lid is from a mold used by Bush on his smaller pear form teapots.

Aside from a few blemishes this pair is as close to mint as one will encounter. The metal is bright both on the exterior and interior. They are both marked on the interior bottom. They are 9 1/8” tall to the top of the finial.

It would be very hard to improve upon this pair..
