A Pristine Pewter Plate by William Danforth - SOLD

A Pristine Pewter Plate by William Danforth

This 7 15/16" pewter plate was made by William Danforth, son of Thomas Danforth II both of Middletown, Connecticut.

William worked in the Middletown shop from 1792 until 1820. This plate is as perfect an example as we have had in the past 40 years. You just can't improve upon this.

Wonderful chatter marks can clearly be seen on the back. Lathe marks show clearly on the face surface as well.
