A Single Rim Pewter Plate by William Calder

An 8 3/8th inch single reed rim pewter plate by William Calder Providence, Rhode Island 1817-1856. Marked with a deep impression of his eagle touch I would believe this is of fairly early manufacture and many of his later plates are marked with the serrated edge rectangular name touch.

Lathe marks are present on both the front and back of the plate. There are some shallow chatter marks in the well of the plate.
