A Fine Reeded Rim Plate by William Calder - SOLD

This 8 5/16" diameter plate was made by William Calder, Providence, Rhode Island circa 1817-56.

This plate is in very fine condition with some light knife marks on the surface. The touchmark is fine "as struck". There are also some nice "chatter" marks on the surface from the cutting tool vibrating on the surface of the metal.
