An Unmarked Mid-Nineteenth Century Syrup - SOLD
This elongated pear shaped syrup dates from the mid-nineteenth century.
Syrups became popular during this era and were used both in private homes as well as hotels and boarding houses.
Made of cast pewter likely from New England. This syrup measures 4 1/4" tall to the top of the finial and is in very good condition. There is some pitting to the inside of the spout.
