Unmarked New England Old English Handled Porringer. This diminutive porringer has a 3 5/16” diameter bowl. The handle cast in place resulted in a strong bond and clear “linen mark” from the “tinker’s dam”
This porringer is in very fine condition with clear lathe marks on the back of the bowl. To my knowledge there are no marked examples of this particular porringer.
It is believed these were produced circa 1780-1820’s. There are some basin bowl porringer with a very similar handle know by Samuel Danforth of Hartford.
