A Scarce Half-Pint Unmarked Boardman Measure - SOLD

A Scarce Half-Pint Unmarked Boardman Measure

American 18th and 19th century measures are quite scarce as is this half-pint example attributed with confidence to the Boarmans.

Boardman measures are found marked by Boardman and Hart of New York City and Timothy Boardman & Co. The were manufactured from the 1820's possibly through the 1850's.

They certainly were used for a much longer period as the 1866 inspection date on this measure indicates. Note the inspector's initials are struck upside down.

Measuring 3 3/4" tall and in very fine condition.
