Unmarked example of an American Fluid Burning Lamp. This example measures 7 7/8” tall to the top of the burner caps. These caps were used to help extinguish the flame and also to prevent evaporation of the fluid. Both of the caps on this burner show they were held a tad to close to the flame as they both have heat damage.
The lamp has a trunked cone shaped font mounted on a narrow shaft attached to a rather broad base.
This is quite attractive. The lamp is in fine condition retaining its original burner. Dating 1830-50’s
Price: $145
