A 5” tall beaker by Samuel Danforth of Hartford, 1795-1816. This style of beaker was used frequently in communion sets in lieu of chalices. This beaker is in fine condition inside and out the lathe marks show clearly on the underside of the base.
The touch is mint and is struck on the outside bottom. The exterior and interior surfaces are nearly mint with a few spots and minor nicks from use. A very fine example.
