An Unmarked American Pewter Butter Plate
This diminutive 5 1/8" butter plate is of a type that is never found marked. They originate in New England and were likely made during the 18th and into the early 19th centuries.
There may have been several molds of nearly the same size.
This example is in very good plus condition. A nice piece to add to a "smalls" collection.
