A Pewter Plate by Ashbil Griswold
Ashbil Griswold worked in Meriden CT from 1808 until the 1830's. He produced flatware and hollowware. He also made beakers and soap boxes.
Griswold was a skilled pewterer and was trained by Thomas Danforth III. He in turn trained other pewterers
This plate measures 7 15/16" and is in near fine condition with fine touches.
