A Super Condition Export Pewter Tulip Form Pewter Tankard by John Fasson II

John Fasson II, a London pewterer began his career in 1753-1796 producing considerable amounts of pewter for export to America including this fine tankard.

This tulip form tankard has a very bold ball terminal handle unlike the majority of ball terminals used by other Export Pewterers. The tankard is in very fine condition retaining lather marks on the lid and body and scrape finish marks on the handle and thumb piece. A superb example that measures 7 1/2" to the top of the thumb piece. 1
